Introduction

Mr. Jaehyuk Chang is currently a partner at Shin & Kim, where his practice focuses on handling litigation and counseling in the areas of labor and employment law.

After serving as a judicial researcher at the Civil Affairs Division of the Seoul Central District Court (specializing in traffic and industrial accidents) and the Civil Division of the Seoul High Court (general civil affairs), Mr. Chang joined the Labor Group of Shin & Kim, where he has been handling litigation and advising on labor and employment matters. He has gained extensive experience in representing employers in civil and criminal cases in various labor and employment matters, including employee status, illegal secondment, industrial accidents, and prevailing wages, and has also provided consulting and advisory services in these areas.

After graduating from Seoul National University's College of Social Sciences with degrees in both Geography and Sociology, Mr. Chang worked as a reporter for the Political Affairs Department (covering the National Assembly, the Prime Minister's Office, the Ministry of Government Legislation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Unification) and the Legal Affairs Department (covering the Supreme Court and the Supreme Prosecutor's Office) of the Maeil Business Newspaper. He then received his J.D. from Sungkyunkwan University Graduate School of Law and his Ph.D. (specializing in labor law) from Sungkyunkwan University Graduate School of Law.
