Prior to joining Shin & Kim, Mr. Kim represented companies, shareholders, and executives across a wide range of industries in civil, criminal, and administrative disputes, accumulating extensive experience and a strong track record in handling complex contentious matters. His experience includes advising on high-profile cases that drew significant public attention, such as inheritance disputes among members of a major conglomerate founder’s family and a jurisdictional dispute concerning the Acting President’s failure to appoint a Constitutional Court justice elected by the National Assembly.

• Represented the spouse and daughters of the late LG Group Chairman Koo Bon-moo in the LG Group inheritance dispute.
• Represented Hana Bank, the trustee, in the damages lawsuit related to the ‘Optimus Fund incident’.
• Represented Busan Metropolitan City Mayor (Park Hyung-joon) in a defamation damages lawsuit.
• Represented and won a litigation case involving a famous male celebrity (Yoo Ah-in) on allegations of violating the Narcotics Control Act.
• Handled the appeal in Supreme Court Case 2023Do11371, which established the precedent that “a victim's petition cannot be used as evidence of guilt”.
• Represented Acting President (Choi Sang-mok) in an adjudication on competence dispute over the Acting President's authority of inaction concerning appointment of judges elected by the National Assembly.
• Represented the Korea International Trade Association in a case seeking the revocation of designation of the preferred negotiation partner for the ‘Jamsil Sports and MICE Complex Private Investment Project’.
