Mr. Dohyun Kang is an Senior Advisor at Shin & Kim, mainly practicing in the areas of artificial intelligence, digital platforms, and information and communications services.
Mr. Kang has over 30 years of experience leading major initiatives in the fields of information and communications, digital technologies, and artificial intelligence. He began his public service career as part of the inaugural cohort of officials appointed upon the establishment of the Ministry of Information and Communication, and subsequently served at the Korea Communications Commission, the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning, and the Ministry of Science and ICT. He served as the Second Vice Minister of Science and ICT from February 2024 until his retirement, overseeing national AI and digital policy initiatives.
Mr. Kang graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in International Relations, earned a Master’s degree in Information and Communication Engineering from the University of Colorado, and completed the doctoral coursework at the Graduate School of Technology, Management, Economics and Policy at Seoul National University.
