Civil & Commercial Litigation

• Represented a listed company in litigation relating to the exercise of shareholder rights by minority shareholders (asset managers, etc.), including obtaining permission to convene shareholders' meetings, prohibiting certain agenda items, suspending the effect of the issuance of new shares, and prohibiting the exercise of voting rights
• Represented minority shareholders in litigation relating to the exercise of shareholder rights, including requesting for access and copying of books of accounts, prohibiting holding shareholders' meetings, prohibiting entering and obstructing shareholders' meetings, confirming the status of the director, suspending performance of duties, revoking and invalidating shareholders' meeting resolutions, etc.
• Represented an asset management company in a claim for invalidation of the issuance of new shares relating to the adjustment of the conversion price
• Represented a publicly traded company in a claim for preliminary injunction against the issuance of new shares due to an ongoing management rights dispute with an affiliate company
• Represented a minority shareholder in an action to enjoin management from disposing of important assets (a claim for preliminary injunction against illegal acts)
• Represented a major shareholder a claim for confirmation of shareholder rights in connection with a share transfer agreement
• Represented a local housing association in a claim for confirmation of the invalidity of shareholders' meeting resolutions
• Represented an asset management company in a claim for settlement of profits

Criminal Litigation

• Represented many CEOs in corporate criminal litigation involving breaches of the Capital Markets Act and the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes (embezzlement, dereliction of duty, etc.)
• Represented and successfully defended the dismissal of an arrest warrant for a construction company owner's violation of the Labor Standards Act
• Represented a local housing association president in criminal litigation involving breaches of the Housing Act, such as false adverting and provision of a directory of association members

• Represented a golf club in a claim for revocation of the de-designation of an investment promotion zone
• Represented a resort company in a claim for revocation of the denial of approval for a change of business plan
