Mr. Jun Man Shim is a partner at Shin & Kim and his main practice areas are real estate development, Public-Private Partnership, Alternative Investment, M&A and financial transaction advisory services, including project finance, structured finance, M&A finance, PFV, PEF and Infrastructure.

Mr. Shim’s diverse and abundant experience in the financial sector has led to successful cases in responding to various sanctions imposed by financial supervisory authorities on financial institutions, including banks. In particular, he has been advising on many major transactions in the financial sector and has extensive experience in successfully handling transactions of the first-ever structure in Korea, such as ABS and ABCP transactions for corporate financing. He also has extensive experience in corporate acquisitions and mergers, as well as in the acquisition finance sector for these purposes, and provides advice on alternative investments in overseas real estate through real estate funds. He also performed project financing for private investment in infrastructure such as BTO and BTL and has extensive experience in the entire field of finance.

Mr. Shim completed the 28th term at the Judicial Research and Training Institute, and based on his abundant experience in finance, lectured on real estate finance at the Graduate School of Economics at Sogang University and also served as an adjunct professor at Sungkyunkwan University Law School. In addition, he also made several contributions on private investment projects to journals, through the Public-Private Partnership Law Review, Chapter 11 Korea (Fourth Edition, The Law Reviews, 2018) and a Commentary to the Private Investment Act on Infrastructure (KDI, 2010, Co-authored).
