Mr. Mu Young Yu is a Partner at Shin & Kim, where he advises clients on Korea Exchange (KRX) listings, including initial public offerings (IPOs) and technology special listings, disclosure compliance and continued listing matters, regulatory responses involving unfair trading practices (including market manipulation and fraudulent trading) and accounting oversight, corporate governance, shareholder and management disputes, as well as policy finance and corporate restructuring.

Mr. Yu has extensive experience in capital markets matters, with a particular focus on Korea Exchange (KRX) listings (IPOs), disclosure compliance, and continued listing matters, including representation in listing eligibility review proceedings. He has advised advanced technology companies on technology special listings on the KOSDAQ market, provided disclosure compliance consulting to assist listed companies in establishing systematic disclosure frameworks, and represented KOSPI- and KOSDAQ-listed companies in delisting defense matters and listing eligibility review proceedings. He has also advised on policy finance matters in connection with corporate restructuring, including workouts and corporate rehabilitation proceedings. Since 2023, Mr. Yu has served as a member of the Corporate Review Committee of the KOSPI Market of the Korea Exchange, further demonstrating his expertise in capital markets regulation and listing review procedures.

Mr. Yu also handles criminal proceedings involving unfair trading practices, including market manipulation and fraudulent trading, as well as responses to accounting oversight reviews and proceedings conducted by the Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) and the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC). He advises domestic and international banks, securities firms, and asset management companies on financial regulatory matters and assists with dispute resolution. In addition, Mr. Yu provides proactive advice on corporate governance reforms and board-related matters in response to recent developments in Korean corporate law. He also advises listed companies on management control disputes and related litigation, as well as appraisal proceedings arising in connection with mergers and comprehensive share exchanges, drawing on his extensive practical experience in corporate disputes to provide trusted legal services.
