Mr. Yoonkyoon Shin is a Senior Advisor at Shin & Kim, mainly practicing in the areas of Corporate Investigation & White Collar Crime and General Criminal Defense.

After graduating from the Korean National Police University (KNPU, Class of 5) with a degree in law and being commissioned as a police officer in March 1989, Mr. Shin has served in the police force for over 35 years, carrying out a wide range of practical duties across public safety and policing administration, possessing extensive experience across diverse functions within the police organization—including intelligence, public safety, traffic, and sexual violence response—along with comprehensive organizational management capabilities.

During his service, he was involved primarily in intelligence departments across all ranks while also gaining experience in key functional units including the Presidential Secretariat (on assignment), security/traffic, planning, and women/youth investigations. He further accumulated organizational management and field command experience during his service as Chief of Police for three terms, at stations including Seoul Yeongdeungpo Police Station, Gyeonggi Siheung Police Station, and Incheon Yeonsu Police Station.

Currently at Shin & Kim, he leverages his extensive practical experience in police organization and public safety administration to provide crisis response consulting for corporations and institutions, along with advisory services related to public institution and investigation responses, organizational management and internal control, and safety and security consulting.
