Ms. Jieun Dokko is an Advisor at Shin & Kim, and her practice focuses on data analysis in corporate internal investigations, forensic analysis of unfair competition and trade secret infringement and cybercrime incidents, digital forensic expert testimony, as well as research on policies and standards concerning electronic evidence.
With more than 20 years of experience as a digital forensic expert, Ms. Dokko has conducted forensic examinations of computers, smartphones, and other digital devices, provided expert testimony in court, and been extensively involved in digital forensic training, research on procedures for the collection and analysis of digital evidence, and the development of forensic tools.
She has carried out research on the regulation and enforcement of digital evidence under the Criminal Procedure Act at the Graduate School of Information Management and Security, Korea University, and studied digital forensic profiling models for technology leakage cases at the Department of Computer Science, Texas Tech University.
In addition, she actively contributes to domestic and international capacity-building and expert training programs in digital forensics at institutions including the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office, the Judicial Research and Training Institute, the National Tax Service, Interpol, and the UNODC.
