Mr. Sunghun Ahn is currently a partner at Shin & Kim, and his practice focuses on corporate criminal defense, domestic and international criminal defense, and various regulatory matters and dispute resolution.

Mr. Ahn has an excellent track record in corporate criminal cases involving economic crimes such as embezzlement and appropriation from corporate activities, violations of the Capital Market Act, accounting fraud, and taxation issues, as well as labor cases such as unfair labor practices, antitrust cases such as violations of the Fair Trade Act involving corporate mergers and unfair trade practices, healthcare cases such as violations of the Medical Service Act and the Pharmaceutical Affairs Act, trade secrets and technology leakage cases, IT cases in connection with telecommunications and personal information, and other criminal cases involving public elections and entertainment.

Mr. Ahn received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees (majoring in administrative law) from Yonsei University College of Law, earned his LL.M. from the University of California Irvine School of Law, and and completed the doctoral coursework in the Department of Law at Yonsei University Graduate School. He passed the 53rd bar exam and completed the 43rd judicial training course at the Judicial Research and Training Institute. Prior to joining Shin & Kim, Mr. Ahn served as a public service advocate at the Korea Legal Aid Corporation and the National Litigation Division under the Legal Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Justice and advised on corporate law, M&A, human resources and labor, and personal information protection at the law firm KLC.
