Mr. Jung-Hee Kang is a Senior Advisor at Shin & Kim, and provides advisory services in the area of defense acquisition and defense industry.

Mr. Kang graduated from the Korea Air Force Academy in 1994, and for a decade until 2005, served as a Logistics (Supply and Transportation) Corps Officer in the Republic of Korea Air Force Headquarters and the Ministry of National Defense Procurement Headquarters where he established the conceptual framework for combat support (maintenance, supply, transportation, facilities, etc.) of the nation’s first C4I project and handled contract operations related to the acquisition of weapon systems such as fighter jets and helicopters.

With the launch of the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) in 2006, he served as an acquisition specialist officer for approximately 20 years at the International Contracts Division, Acquisition Planning Bureau, and Aircraft Programs Division and other divisions, where he performed duties in defense acquisition projects and contract management services. Notably, during his tenure as Director of the Aircraft Business Division, he oversaw the air power programs and carried out defense cooperation projects, including various forms of industrial cooperation MOUs.

Based on his practical experience in defense acquisition and the defense industry, he provides advisory services on export strategies and responding to contract-related disputes arising from export procedures.
