Attorney Daeyong Baek Appointed as Advisor to Research Group for Big Data Related Privacy Laws

On December 3, 2015, Daeyong Baek of Shin & Kim was appointed as an advisor to the group of experts organized to conduct research on the Korean private laws related to big data. The research group consists of experts from the Ministry of Interior, the Korea Communications Commission, the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning, the Financial Services Commission, as well as privacy law experts from the legal academia and private practice. As the members of the research group consist of almost all of the big data related ministries and agencies, it is expected to provide insights into the future directions of Korea’s big data related policies.
