Mr. Myong-Hyon (Brandon) Ryu of Shin & Kim was invited to take part as a panelist in the 5th Materials and Parts Global M&A Conference held at COEX Intercontinental Hotel in Seoul, Korea on December 3, 2013, which was hosted by the Korea Core Industrial Technology Investment Association (the “KITIA”), a quasi-government organization under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
The Conference sponsored by the KITIA was held in an effort to promote M&As among Korean materials and parts companies to enhance their global competitiveness. The Conference was divided into four sessions including presentations on potential M&A opportunities in Europe, the U.S., Japan and China and strategic approaches to seize such opportunities. Based on his experience, Mr. Ryu gave a presentation during the panel-discussion session regarding important legal considerations required for a successful M&A.
Mr. Ryu specializes in the areas of M&A (including M&As and investments involving private equity funds and venture capital funds) and international investments.
Mr. Ryu has been named as a leading lawyer in the corporate/M&A sector by Chambers Global, Chambers Asia-Pacific, Legal 500, and PLC Which Lawyer, among other leading legal publications.
