Netmarble Games’ strategic alliance and cross-shareholding transaction with NC Soft Corporation

Shin & Kim represented Netmarble Games in its equity swap and business alliance with NcSoft, a publicly listed company.  NcSoft acquired 9.8% new shares issued by Netmarble Games for KRW 380,264,907,420 on February 16, 2015, and Netmarble Games acquired 8.93% of NcSoft’s treasury shares for KRW 391,117,350,000 on February 17, 2015.  This is a landmark strategic business alliance transaction though cross-shareholding between a top domestic mobile game provider and a top domestic on-line game provider.
